If there's a cake that goes well with tea, I feel that this would be it. A few months back, we experimented on several recipes and this is what we've come up with. Lemony scented moist butter cakes with poppy seed bursting in your mouth every bite, topped with cream cheese frosting. I particulary like this with early grey tea, with a teaspooon of sugar and a tablespoon of milk. This way, its not so sweet and goes well with the zing of the lemon in the cake. These babies are scheduled to be out in the stores by the weekend. Do try them and let me know what you think....
Mixed greens with tomatoes, onions, grapes and candied walnuts with creamy balsamic vinaigrette. For easy entertaining, grab a bottle of Goodies N' Sweets Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette. Then grab a pack of mixed greens, some cherry tomatoes about 1/2 cup - cut in halves, very thinly sliced onions, about half a medium sized onion sliced into rings, 1/2 cup of seedless grapes. Arrange in a salad platter and drizzle about 1/4 cup of the creamy balsamic vinaigrette. (shake the bottle well before using) Place some extra salad dressing in a separate ramekin to allow guests to add more dressing as necessary. This salad will be good for about 4-6 people.
Serve this salad with some toasted focaccia bread, a pasta, and a light fruit dessert. Enjoy!

Last year, Goodies N' Sweets launched a cookbook called 12 Days of Holiday Goodies...12 recipes that are easy to make and bake for the holidays to impress guests and to give as gifts. All recipes are tried and tested and easy to follow.
Recently, I took a picture of this old time favorite... the Oreo Ice Cream. Seeing it being prepared made me remember when we used to go to Goodies N' Sweets in Crossroad just to have a scoop.
This is still a best seller in our stores and I have to tell you that we still make it the same way we used to make it back then. The only thing that we change occasionally is when the regular Oreos go out of stock and we have to substitute it with the ones with the double filing.
Due to the Oreo Ice Cream's popularity, In our menu, we also created an Oreo Ice Cream Shake! It's rich, thick and creamy. Do try it when you visit and dine in our shops.
